Why The Delhi Daredevils are Gonna Win IPL-5

The Season 5 of the DLF Indian Premier League is just around the corner. The Indian Premier league is the Baby of The Board of Control For cricket in India, Or BCCI as we all know it.
This tournament began in 2008 to bring the domestic players to light and also to give them the exposure of playing along with International stars. IPL is the Second Highest Paid League after Just the NBA of US. The fith Edition Begins on 3rd april at Chennai With The Performances of Katy Perry, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bacchan Etc. The matches start from the 4th of april and Will end with the Final on 27th may Which will be played at Chennai.

Delhi Daredevils is the Team owned by GMR Group and is the Home team of The National Capital, Delhi. Their Home ground is The Firoz Shah Kotla Stadium Which has a capacity of 48000 People. The Daredevils have Performed exceptionally well Since the starting of the IPL and they Reached the Semi-Finals of the first two Seasons as well. Unfortunately Luck Didn’t favour them and they lost out both the times. In the 2010 Season, Delhi Just missed the Semi-Final spot due to the Net run rate. The daredevils had a forgettable 2011 season when they finished at the last of the table.

Why Do I Then Believe that Delhi Daredevils are gonna win the IPL 2012?

Nothing To Lose : After Finishing at the bottom of the points table last year, Delhi have got nothing to lose. They can only look up from here. When a Team finishes at the bottom of the table, they have already experienced the worst and now the team doesn’t have anything to fear. This point has been proved previously by the deccan chargers when after finishing last in the 2008 season, They bounced back and won the 2009 season.

The Player Mix: The Daredevils have a Brilliant Player Mix and the team has all round performers in it. The Domestic and the foreign Players have great combinations and hopefully they'll fire to win it.

The Daredevil Skipper Virender Sehwag: This Name needs no Introduction. He has scored the Higest runs by an Indian in Test Matches, 319, And in The one Day Internationals, 219. He has one of the best strike rates both in One day’s and in T20’s for the country. When Sehwag Gets going, He destroys the other Teams. The Daredevils would need their skipper to step up the mantle and Get the required runs.

The Daredevils From other Countries:

Kevin Pietersen: the Daredevils acquired KP from the deccan chargers and He’s going to be bringing some serious character and strength with his game. This Right handed batsman is a powerful hitter and is famous for his switch hit sixes.

Mahela Jaywardne: The daredevils vice captain is easily one of the best finishers of the game. He knows how to control his innings and he’s always there for the team when its in trouble. His Experience and commitment would be of help and would Inspire the youngsters of the team.

Ross Taylor: This Clear Striker of the ball is a prized possession for delhi. He was secured on a transfer from the Rajashan Royals. The 28 year old right handed batsman is a Package that can turn around the game with spending just a few minutes on the Ground. His Agility and Fielding abilities would be something to watch out for.

David warner: The Australian has created ripples in the IPL since the day he came in. This Powerful opener is the best partner which Virender sehwag can hope to get. On days when Viru Doesn’t score, David warner is always there to keep the scoreboard ticking and making runs at a fast rate.

Some of the Players to watch out from the Daredevils are Roelof Van Der Merwe, Glen Maxwell, Doug Bracewell, Morne Morkel and Andre Russell.

The Local Daredevils:

Irfan Pathan: Perhaps one of the most Sought after Domestic player on the IPL he has the capability to turn around any match with his batting and bowling abilities. He has been performing constantly at the international level and has cemented his place in the National team. One can expect Irfan To be there when the team needs him.

Varun aaron: this Speedster from Jharkhand has shown his potential at the domestic and at the international level. One of the Few Bowlers From India who bowl at a constant speed of 140-150, He can strike and take the required wickets for the team Through his speed and the amazing line and length.

Umesh Yadav: The Right arm Fast bowler has been constantly in the National team and he has been taking wickets at all the levels. He Troubled the Australians when India Went Down under and Has forced people to notice him. His bowls can trouble the opponents and that would be of a huge help to the Daredevils.

Robin Bist: He was a less known Domestic player till the starting of this years domestic season but this season he made everyone wake up and realize his potential. He is the highest run getter this season and The Team can rely on him to Take them Out in the Hour of need.

Naman Ojha: The Wicketkeeper batsman from Madhya Pradesh has Represented the National Team. His abilities behind the Wicket and In ahead of them are no questions to anyone who follows the Domestic Game. He is Not in the Indian Team Only because of Mahendra singh dhoni and can be called a successor to the post of the national wicketkeeper after Him.

Ajit Agarkar: One of the senior most bowler of the Team. His experience through His International Games and his Long Career are gonna be of help to all the youngsters of the team and would be key to Wins in the Games.

Unmukt Chand: the Under 19 India Captain is a Stylish batsman who is a clear hitter of the ball. He has been performing at the Domestic level in Ranji Games and Was the Key For India U-19 winning the quadrangular series in December.

Vikas Mishra: This Left arm spinner has created a name for himself by constant performances at the domestic level. His Bowling has been lauded by All the senior players and he can be a Deadly weapon in Daredevils Arsenal.

Some Other Domestic Players to watch out for are Venugopal Rao, Yogesh Nagar, Tejashwi Yadav, Puneet Bisht and Shahbaaz nadeem.

The coaching staff:
The Daredevils have a Good coaching and Support staff which would be of key importance for the Team. The Team Mentor, T.a. Sekar, The Previous India Bowler has served as the national selector and is a mentor for the team. Eric Simons, who is the Head Coach at the daredevils has served previously as the Coach of South African national team. His Techniques and Methodologies are Unorthodox and He can ensure that the players are Raring to go. He’s helped by Trent Woodhill who has the post of the batting and fielding coach. Aashish kapoor is the Team Manager.
The Support Staff comprises of:
Robert Walter: Conditioning and Strength Trainer
Kirk Russel: Team Physiotherapist
James Harrington: Yoga Trainer.

The SuperFans:
The Daredevils have selected Four superfans whose stories will inspire the team and who have shown their mettle and are the Daredevils of real world.
These superfans are Athlete Anuradha Vaidyanathan. The Youngest Mt. Everest Climber Arjun Vajpai. India’s only Ultramarathon Runner, Arun Bharadwaj and the Only Indian woman to ski to south pole, Reena Kaushal Dharmshaktu.
