Why The Delhi Daredevils are Gonna Win IPL-5

The Season 5 of the DLF Indian Premier League is just around the corner. The Indian Premier league is the Baby of The Board of Control For cricket in India, Or BCCI as we all know it.
This tournament began in 2008 to bring the domestic players to light and also to give them the exposure of playing along with International stars. IPL is the Second Highest Paid League after Just the NBA of US. The fith Edition Begins on 3rd april at Chennai With The Performances of Katy Perry, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bacchan Etc. The matches start from the 4th of april and Will end with the Final on 27th may Which will be played at Chennai.

Delhi Daredevils is the Team owned by GMR Group and is the Home team of The National Capital, Delhi. Their Home ground is The Firoz Shah Kotla Stadium Which has a capacity of 48000 People. The Daredevils have Performed exceptionally well Since the starting of the IPL and they Reached the Semi-Finals of the first two Seasons as well. Unfortunately Luck Didn’t favour them and they lost out both the times. In the 2010 Season, Delhi Just missed the Semi-Final spot due to the Net run rate. The daredevils had a forgettable 2011 season when they finished at the last of the table.

Why Do I Then Believe that Delhi Daredevils are gonna win the IPL 2012?

Nothing To Lose : After Finishing at the bottom of the points table last year, Delhi have got nothing to lose. They can only look up from here. When a Team finishes at the bottom of the table, they have already experienced the worst and now the team doesn’t have anything to fear. This point has been proved previously by the deccan chargers when after finishing last in the 2008 season, They bounced back and won the 2009 season.

The Player Mix: The Daredevils have a Brilliant Player Mix and the team has all round performers in it. The Domestic and the foreign Players have great combinations and hopefully they'll fire to win it.

The Daredevil Skipper Virender Sehwag: This Name needs no Introduction. He has scored the Higest runs by an Indian in Test Matches, 319, And in The one Day Internationals, 219. He has one of the best strike rates both in One day’s and in T20’s for the country. When Sehwag Gets going, He destroys the other Teams. The Daredevils would need their skipper to step up the mantle and Get the required runs.

The Daredevils From other Countries:

Kevin Pietersen: the Daredevils acquired KP from the deccan chargers and He’s going to be bringing some serious character and strength with his game. This Right handed batsman is a powerful hitter and is famous for his switch hit sixes.

Mahela Jaywardne: The daredevils vice captain is easily one of the best finishers of the game. He knows how to control his innings and he’s always there for the team when its in trouble. His Experience and commitment would be of help and would Inspire the youngsters of the team.

Ross Taylor: This Clear Striker of the ball is a prized possession for delhi. He was secured on a transfer from the Rajashan Royals. The 28 year old right handed batsman is a Package that can turn around the game with spending just a few minutes on the Ground. His Agility and Fielding abilities would be something to watch out for.

David warner: The Australian has created ripples in the IPL since the day he came in. This Powerful opener is the best partner which Virender sehwag can hope to get. On days when Viru Doesn’t score, David warner is always there to keep the scoreboard ticking and making runs at a fast rate.

Some of the Players to watch out from the Daredevils are Roelof Van Der Merwe, Glen Maxwell, Doug Bracewell, Morne Morkel and Andre Russell.

The Local Daredevils:

Irfan Pathan: Perhaps one of the most Sought after Domestic player on the IPL he has the capability to turn around any match with his batting and bowling abilities. He has been performing constantly at the international level and has cemented his place in the National team. One can expect Irfan To be there when the team needs him.

Varun aaron: this Speedster from Jharkhand has shown his potential at the domestic and at the international level. One of the Few Bowlers From India who bowl at a constant speed of 140-150, He can strike and take the required wickets for the team Through his speed and the amazing line and length.

Umesh Yadav: The Right arm Fast bowler has been constantly in the National team and he has been taking wickets at all the levels. He Troubled the Australians when India Went Down under and Has forced people to notice him. His bowls can trouble the opponents and that would be of a huge help to the Daredevils.

Robin Bist: He was a less known Domestic player till the starting of this years domestic season but this season he made everyone wake up and realize his potential. He is the highest run getter this season and The Team can rely on him to Take them Out in the Hour of need.

Naman Ojha: The Wicketkeeper batsman from Madhya Pradesh has Represented the National Team. His abilities behind the Wicket and In ahead of them are no questions to anyone who follows the Domestic Game. He is Not in the Indian Team Only because of Mahendra singh dhoni and can be called a successor to the post of the national wicketkeeper after Him.

Ajit Agarkar: One of the senior most bowler of the Team. His experience through His International Games and his Long Career are gonna be of help to all the youngsters of the team and would be key to Wins in the Games.

Unmukt Chand: the Under 19 India Captain is a Stylish batsman who is a clear hitter of the ball. He has been performing at the Domestic level in Ranji Games and Was the Key For India U-19 winning the quadrangular series in December.

Vikas Mishra: This Left arm spinner has created a name for himself by constant performances at the domestic level. His Bowling has been lauded by All the senior players and he can be a Deadly weapon in Daredevils Arsenal.

Some Other Domestic Players to watch out for are Venugopal Rao, Yogesh Nagar, Tejashwi Yadav, Puneet Bisht and Shahbaaz nadeem.

The coaching staff:
The Daredevils have a Good coaching and Support staff which would be of key importance for the Team. The Team Mentor, T.a. Sekar, The Previous India Bowler has served as the national selector and is a mentor for the team. Eric Simons, who is the Head Coach at the daredevils has served previously as the Coach of South African national team. His Techniques and Methodologies are Unorthodox and He can ensure that the players are Raring to go. He’s helped by Trent Woodhill who has the post of the batting and fielding coach. Aashish kapoor is the Team Manager.
The Support Staff comprises of:
Robert Walter: Conditioning and Strength Trainer
Kirk Russel: Team Physiotherapist
James Harrington: Yoga Trainer.

The SuperFans:
The Daredevils have selected Four superfans whose stories will inspire the team and who have shown their mettle and are the Daredevils of real world.
These superfans are Athlete Anuradha Vaidyanathan. The Youngest Mt. Everest Climber Arjun Vajpai. India’s only Ultramarathon Runner, Arun Bharadwaj and the Only Indian woman to ski to south pole, Reena Kaushal Dharmshaktu.

This was the scenario of the Ranji Trophy Semifinal match between Rajasthan and Haryana being played out at Lahli, Haryana. As We know from first hand account of one of the senior most batsman of Rajashtan Team, Aakash Chopra[@Cricketaakash], The wicket Wasn’t one of the best to bat on, Still Rajasthan managed to put up a fighting total and enter into the finals of the Ranji Trophy for the second consecutive year.

Last Year, When Rajasthan started their campaign, No one had any expectations from a team who was in the plate league, didn’t have any ‘Currently Playing’ Indian team players in it. Yet, The Team had a fairy tale story, and Went on to win the Ranji Trophy. I won’t talk about that because a lot has been already talked about it and even a Book, “Out Of The Blue” Written by The Rajasthan Batsman, Aakash Chopra, Has been published and has been widely acclaimed by critics as well as readers. You can Buy the Book from Cricbuy.com

This year, When Rajasthan began their journey for defending the championship, a lot was expected from them. But After conceding innings lead in 5 consecutive matches, most of the expectations were written off. Though The Team didn’t lose those matches, neither did it win them, so it was stuck on 5 points in 5 matches and their prospects of moving into the knockout stage were bare minimum. But Luck Favoured Rajasthan and they won the last two matches of the league stages in a massive way with bonus points and moved to the quarterfinals. In Quarters they were met myHyderabad, and Won that match on the basis of first innings lead and moved to the semis.
Though this year, Rajasthan didn’t show the brilliance like last season yet it had some exceptional performers Who had always been there.
Robin Bist Plays for The Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League

The Ranji Trophy’s top Scorer at this moment when this post is being written is Robin Bist with 885 runs in 9 matches. Robin Bist, has always been there in the domestic circuit from the mere age of 12 with entering in the Delhi Under-14 team and then advancing to the under-17, Under-19 and Ranji Trophy team. His success story is not much known, Because in India, there are cricket lovers and cricket followers. Cricket lovers are those who know only who The Indian team is playing and what are the results. Yet there are some many many Cricket followers who also follow the domestic circuit and know Who are the players who are Banging on the national selectors doors to notice them. Robin bist has always been one of those guys. In The ZCA, He was only counted next to Virat Kohli, But wasn’t given a chance in the India U-19 team despite being one of the top scorers. When Robin Had to Move from theDelhi team to The Rajasthan due to some circumstances, It was felt that the futures scope is confined because when you play for delhi, You get noticed for the Indian Team more easily. But Robin bist showed strength of character and continued playing. He was always there in the run scorers with fifties and beautiful innings but this season he decided to kick up the notch, and has scored 4 hundreds and 2 fifties with a staggering average of 105.12 . Robin Bist, Who has studied from Bhartiya vidya bhavan’s Mehta Vidyalaya in Delhi Comes from a cricketing family himself with his father and Brother also Being brilliant cricketers. In the Indian Premier League, He Represents the Delhi Daredevils. Aged Just 24 years old, Robin Bist has the age on his side. Its just around time when the National Selectors get up and start noticing and Rewarding players who have been there constantly on the Domestic Circuit.

Another one of the exceptional performers for the Rajasthan team has been Pankaj Singh, He is one of the leading wicket takers in the Ranji Trophy with 32 wickets to his name. Pankaj Singh, Pankaj Singh Has Represented the Indian team and Has been there on nearly every major team a player can in the domestic league.

Performances of Aakash Chopra, Hrisheksh Kanitkar, Vineet saxena, Raviraj Singh And Dishant Yagnik have also been exceptional.

Rajasthan Appeal.

While Rajasthan Went on to win the Ranji Trophy last year, If all the Top players perform in this finals too, The same result can be expected. Two Consecutive Ranji Trophy Finals is no Joke and Its about time that The Major Teams of the Ranji Trophy Like Mumbai, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh Etc Get up and start getting Worried. Because Rajasthan Team has Shown That it wasn’t a fluke the last time around, and This time too, It certainly isn’t. They Are finally here and they Are here to stay and give all the other teams a run for their money.
The Rajasthan Cricket Team is here. And with a Bang.

The Emerging Players Tournament And Indians In England

While the Indian Cricket Team Is Getting Hammered All over In the home of The Birthplace of Cricket, England, People Have Easily Overlooked the Brilliant Performance By the Emerging Players Indian Team In the Emerging Players Tournament Going on in Queensland,Australia.
Though There was Much Criticism at the Selection of the Squad selected to play in the tournament especially the selection of Anirudha Srikkant Who is the Son Of the Chief selector Krishnamachari Srikkanth. The Criticism Was mainly Because This tournament being in A 3-day matches Format, And Anirudha Is Known to have been a good player of T-20’s And Limited over’s matches rather Than The Longer Version of the game. The Selectors said that it wasn’t The Chief Selector who had suggested the Name of his son And The Selectors didn’t knew About the Change Of format of the tournament from Limited over’s to 3-day matches.! This Is Surprising and Shocking Both at the same time Since The ICC’s Chief at the Present Moment is Sharad Pawar, The Ex-President Of BCCI[Board For Cricket Control In India] and The BCCI Being One of the most Powerful Boards in the Sport Of Cricket, This Sounds like A Lame Excuse.
Still This Team Has Performed Exceptionally well Defeating the Australian Team, The New Zealand Team and Nearly Defeating the South African Team. The Stars of these Wins, Shikhar Dhawan, Manoj tiwary and R Vinay Kumar Among others who were denied a Place in the India Seniors Squad to Play In England showed their mettle in this tournament.
Its Rather Discomforting to know that Since N. Shrinivasan andKrishnamachari Srikkanth. Came On board of the BCCI, The Chennai or the South Camp Has Been Selected in the major teams despite Other People Having Better Performances from the Other Areas of the Country. Murali Vijay, Badrinath And Abhinav Mukund have Failed to capitalize on the Chances Given to them By the Team Still They’ve Been selected over and over again.

When The Indians Went To England To take part in the 4 Match Test Series And The 5 Match ODI Series, There wouldn’t have been Much people Who Would have thought That This Tour Could Be One sided Towards England As it has been till now. And That Expression Was Also Shown by the Indian Team in the First Test When They Took all the Wickets of the English batting Line up at the score of 221. But the Exceptional Performance by Stuart Broad Ensured that India Could Never Come back in the Match and the Indians Lost the First test.
The second Test was dominated completely by the English with They Winning It Comfortably. This test had its share of Controversies with Michael Vaughan Alleging that VVS Laxman Had Vaseline on his bat and The Controversial Run out of Ian Bell and then His recalling by the Indian Captain M.S. Dhoni.
M.S. Dhoni’s Choices and Decisions have Been critisiced as much as his dismal performance both behind the Wickets and In front of them.

Ninety-nine Tests over 28 series. Seventy-one ODIs. Two Twenty20 internationals. Not one of these matches played between England andIndia has been for the top prize in cricket. It is slightly strange that in what is essentially a nine-team sport these two teams have never been close to the top at the same time. Yet The English Team Is making a Mockery of the Number 1. Test Team of the World and the World Champions.
It has as much fault of the Indian Cricket team As the brilliance and amazing performance of the English Team.
